COURSE OBJECTIVES:

– Introduce and familiarize professionals with robotic surgical instruments, their functionalities, and applications across different surgical procedures;

– Provide a set of essential skills that will enable professionals to perform hands-on instrumentation in robotic surgery;

EDUCATIONAL METHODS:

– Describe and apply the setup process for the surgical table according to different surgical procedures;

– Observe the daily routine and interaction of the surgical team and their specific roles in robotic surgery;

– Participate in and perform the draping of the robot, patient positioning, docking, and instrumentation for different types of robotic procedures, understanding their particularities;

– Describe the role and actions of the professional in situations involving complications and emergencies;

– Additional module available for nurses.

PREREQUISITES:

– Proven experience in laparoscopic instrumentation (minimum of 6 months);

DURATION:

5 days – You will observe between 5 to 13 surgeries.
