Join B.E.S.T., the best medical

innovation program in France and Taiwan, and is now coming to Brazil

with renowned names in its faculty.

Set aside a few days for intensive pure immersion training in medical innovation with teachers from around the world. This is B.E.S.T., a program created by Ircad Strasbourg which, in addition to France, has already passed through Taiwan and now lands in Brazil, brought by the Ircad American Latina – located in Barretos.

 

With this program, you receive a technical and business baggage to undertake in the area of ​​laparoscopic surgery. And it is not necessary to be a doctor to participate. Engineers, technology professionals and nearby areas can also sign up.

 

More than 21,000 students have already passed through this program, from 54 countries. The generated ideas are viable and innovative, which broaden the opportunities to take on and develop new leaderships in the medical and technical area.

An entrepreneur, he has been the founder of SparkMed Advisors, a consulting firm for creative solutions for the commercialization of medical devices. Bachelor of Science with Honors from the University of Texas in Aerospace Engineering and Master of Science in Engineering Management from Stanford University.

Estefano Stramigioli

M.Sc. with honors (cum laude) and Ph.D with honors (cum laude). He is an IEEE Fellow, ERC Advance Grant Recipient and member of the Dutch Academy of Sciences (KHMW). He is also an IEEE RAS officer. Has title of Coloproctologista, Ex-Resarch Fellow Florida Hospital - Orlando - Florida - United States and is currently Colorectal Surgeon of Pius XII - Hospital Foundation of love of Barretos and Scientific Coordinator of the IRCAD Latin America - Unit Barretos.Titular Member of the Brazilian Society of COLOPROCTOLOGY (TSBCP), the American Society of Colorectal Surgery and international cuisine from the sages. Sébastien Piant

Sébastien Piant is a PhD and has worked in scientific project management for the neuroscience and oncology department of the Centre National de la Recherche (CNRS), the largest public scientific research body in France and one of the most important in the world. He has worked for the economics and management department at Ingenierie de Projets Innovants and is currently a project manager at the Institute of Guided Imaging Surgery at IHU.

Pietro Riva

He is currently a resident in general surgery at Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan, Italy. Participated as a researcher at IHU conducting research projects and is also coordinator and co-director of the B.E.S.T. program.

Pietro Mascagni

After medical training and surgical experiences in several countries like Italy, UK, Tanzania, Mexico, Spain and China joined IRCAD / IHU-Strasbourg, France.
He participated in B.E.S.T. Program 2017 and invited by Professor Perretta, joined the team as a researcher, studying robotics and training to improve image-guided surgery. PhD student in Surgical Data Science to address the needs of the engineering community, especially regarding surgical safety.

Ludovica holds a medical degree from the Università della Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” and is currently a surgeon in the department of robotics and general laparoscopic surgery at Monaldi Hospital in Naples - Italy. She is member of several societies such as the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES). Currently developing research project for endoscopic gastroplasty protocols (Endosleeve) by IHU and she was also one of the expert trainers in the B.E.S.T. Program Taiwan in 2018.
