Practical Immersion in Robotic Surgery for Surgical Technologists and Nurses | GENERAL SURGERY | Advanced - Avançado

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

– Introduce and familiarize professionals with robotic surgical instruments, their functionalities, and applications across different surgical procedures;

– Provide a set of essential skills that will enable professionals to perform practical instrumentation in robotic surgery;


EDUCATIONAL METHODS:

– Describe and apply the setup process for surgical tables tailored to different operative procedures;

– Observe the routine and interaction of the surgical team, along with its specific dynamics in robotic surgery;

– Participate in and perform robot draping, patient positioning, docking, and instrumentation for various types of robotic procedures, understanding their particularities;

– Describe the role and actions of professionals in situations involving complications and emergencies;

– Additional module available for nurses.


PREREQUISITES:

– Proven experience in laparoscopic instrumentation (minimum of 6 months);


DURATION:

5 days – You will observe between 5 and 13 surgeries.

(depends on the chosen specialty, case complexity, and weekly surgical schedule)
